Options for flying – My pros for flying over would be the time it takes and the ease – once you’re at your local airport you can relax :). My cons would be packing and not having your car with you – it’s super easy to get around without one though and easy to hire one.
Ryan Air fly year round in to Biarritz from Stansted and Dublin. Prices vary from London from £25 up to £190 each way depending on the day and from Dublin from 80€ up to 250€ each way.
Flights from London are daily and from Dublin seem to be every day except Wednesday and Sunday in high season. The good news is that you can arrive and depart any day that you choose with Atlantic Blue Holidays and some other tour operators, so you can check out the best flights for you and book your holiday around them – obviously subject to availability.
Other flight options – From Gatwick to Biarritz with Easyjet on Saturdays from the 18th June and then every day throughout July and August and in September, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday – varying from £50 up to £200 each way.
From Heathrow to Biarritz with British Airways on Wednesdays and Sundays from May to September with prices varying from £95 to £220 each way.
From Southampton (July to mid September) and Birmingham (mid May to September) with Flybe, you can fly into Biarritz on a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. If you want to fly from Belfast, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Manchester check to see the Flybe schedules changing at Birmingham or Southampton.
